You will now have signed your contract and received your onboarding email from Zambion. To proceed with onboarding, you are required to complete the onboarding form through the provided link in your email. This information is necessary to ensure proper payment processing.
The following documents need to be attached at the bottom of the onboarding page:

You will receive an email from ChildSafe Australia Learning Portal to complete the ‘Keeping Children and Young People Safe’ training, an essential part of child safety awareness. The training includes audio-visual content and knowledge tests, taking approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. A certificate will be available upon successful completion.
Additionally, you will receive an email from Operoo, an online medical management system, to complete your medical profile.
Tax File Number Declaration form allows payroll to work out the amount of tax that needs to be withheld each pay period.
Tax file number (TFN) is your personal identifier in the Australian tax system. Once you get
your Tax File Number, it stays with you your whole life. You need to apply online for this, and
you need to be in Australia to do so – see details below.
For your Onboarding form, please enter the following information while you wait for your
TFN:
-Tax File Number xxx-xxx-xxx – please enter 111-111-111 – This is a code to indicate you have
applied for you TFN.

You are required to provide you TFN and completed form within two pay periods or you will be taxed at the highest rate. Your TFN is also used to lodge your taxes at the end of the tax year which is July to June each year. We have provided a link to assist you with lodging your taxes online, before leaving Australia and lodging outside of Australia.

Each state has their own Working with Children Check system. EVERYONE who works for OEG is required to have a working with children’s check.
You need to apply once you are in Australia if you are not already, and you cannot work without one!
You will be required to have proof of identity when applying for your Working with Children’s Check, this must show your Australian Address.
- When you set up a bank account with the work address or the address of your accommodation print out a copy of the information including your address.
- Request a Temporary Lease form from OEG – Email: Careers@oeg.edu.au requesting a lease document.
Once you have applied, upload a copy of your receipt via the skill and ability form on your
Zambion home page.
Below is a break down per state of how to apply for a children check:
- Vic Working with Children Check:
• Complete online application form
• Verify your identity (three original proof of identity documents) in person
and lodge application at a participating Australia Post outlet
• Pay application fees ($121.10)
• You will be notified by email once you pass the check and receive clearance.
• A card will be mailed.

Service NSW Centre
• Once screening process has been completed, you will receive email
which contains your WWCC number.
• Send through your WWCC number to PChelpdesk@oeg.edu.au for us to
verify your detail online.

- WA Working with children check
• Complete Application for a WWCC check form. You can collect this from
the WA office, or it will be posted out to you as we need to complete and
sign components of this form.
• Lodge application form at an authorised Australia Post Outlet with the
required identity documents, pay the required fee ($87.00) and have
your photo taken.

- Northern Territory Working with Children Check
• Complete the online application form. Through the application process
you will need access to;
• Valid credit/ debit card for payment (MasterCard or Visa Only)
• Valid email address for confirmation of submission and
subsequent communication
• Current Australia residential and postal address
• Documents to provide in .GIF .JPG .PDF .PNG or .TIF format
include:
• Identification documents – you will be asked to upload valid
ID documents to meet the 100 point check requirement
• Passport photo image – used on the ochre card
• Any submission documents you wish to provide to the screening
Authority for consideration. Word documents are not able to be
attached
• As the process for your WWCC application can take 4-6 weeks, We may
need to complete an exemption form and submit to Safe NT whilst your
application is being process. To complete this process we will need you
to email both emails from Safe NT (acknowledgement of application
has been received and receipt) to pchelpdesk@oeg.edu.au to complete
exemption application.
Some of you will be expected to drive company vehicles we require a copy of your licence for you to be able to do this.

NOTE: When you land in Australia you will need to convert your international driver’s licence

Overseas applicants have 3 months to convert their international driver’s licence to a New
South Wales, Western Australia and Northern Territory.

As OEG is a child safe organisation, we need you to complete the online training: Keeping Children and Vulnerable People safe online course (takes about an hour) and upload your certificate to either your onboarding form, or via the skill and ability form on your Zambion home page.

You will have received an email from Operoo to complete your profile. No form to submit, just complete your medical profile.
Superannuation, or ‘super’, is a percentage of your salary or wages, set aside by your employer for you to live on when you retire. Your employer pays ‘contributions’ into a super account on your behalf. This is called the ‘super guarantee’. This is generally paid on top of your salary rather than deducted from it.
Superannuation is paid in line with current Australian Taxation Superannuation legislation and the superannuation guarantee is increasing yearly until 2025 when it will reach 12%. This applies whether you work casual, part-time, or full-time hours, and if you are a temporary resident.
Generally, we must pay super for you if you are:
• 18 years old or over, and are paid $450 or more (before tax) in a calendar month
• under 18 years old, being paid $450 or more (before tax) in a calendar month and work more than 30 hours in a week.
When commencing with a new employer, you must nominate a super fund. OEG is unable to offer advice on which super fund to elect, however, you can find plenty of information via the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website. If are unsure of your current supper account details, your MyGov account should give you access to this information.
You can also make additional super contributions in the form of ‘salary sacrifice’ with your before-tax income or after-tax income. Please be advised, there are annual limits or ‘caps’ on the amount you can contribute to your super without having to pay additional tax. Superannuation is a retirement fund that employers are liable to pay into.
Superannuation is paid on top of your ordinary time earnings and is paid into your nominated Superannuation fund. If you are an international team member when you depart Australia, you are able to close and withdraw the money. So, consider it a Savings account!

There are Superannuation funds that allow you to open a Super account online and from
overseas. Google is your friend!
When you set up a Superannuation fund account, you will be issued a member number.
As part of your onboarding process, we kindly ask you to provide your bank account details on the onboarding page provided to you through the link in your onboarding email. This information is essential for payroll purposes, as it ensures that your earnings can be deposited directly into your account. Rest assured that the details you provide will be handled securely and confidentially.
Bank Name: Who have you gone with? E.g., NAB, CommBank
Bank Branch: This will be either a town name (e.g.: Alexandra) or Online
When entering Bank Account details into Zambion onboarding form: BSB- Account Number. Do not place a space between BSB and Account

If you don’t have an Australian bank Account:
You can apply for a bank account online overseas – Google is your friend!
Some banks requiring you to attend the Bank branch in person to verify detail and complete application.

For international staff members, it is recommended to establish an online bank account before your arrival, as you will require this account to provide proof of identity when applying for a Working with Children’s Check.
As a pre-requisite of employment, you may be required to have First aid quals. Your contract will tell you if you need WFA, Remote or Apply First Aid. – (pg. 6 for casuals or pg. 7 for salaried employee)

As we are a child safe organisation, we require international staff to submit a police check form your country of origin.
As part of your onboarding process, it is a mandatory requirement for international staff to obtain a police check. Unfortunately, we do not cover the associated costs, and you must complete this process in your home country. To obtain a police check, you can typically apply through your local law enforcement agency or the appropriate government department responsible for background checks.
We require international staff to submit the below:
An immigration grant notice is a document issued by a government authority that confirms an individual’s right to enter, reside, and work in Australia.
Your passport will be saved to your personal file and used to check and monitor your visa conditions online through the Visa Entitlement Verification Online System (VEVO).
